Pennsic short attention span theater.

Pennsic was good. It was somehow more low key than year's past.

We found out Sunday that we were supposed to speak for Alexander on Tuesday at 8 a.m. Writer's block ensued but it suddenly came to me and I made him tear up. Gwynneth was a very tough act to follow, (duh!). His boots didn't make it on the plane so Vlad's boots were knighted. He really liked his houpplande. We played bait the Bloodguard a few times and had much entertainment.

Became an psychofant to the Honorable Mistress Viscountess Master Doctor Adjunct Professor BITCH.

The Queen's Tea was entertaining in a good way.

There wasn't as much stunning clothing on either end. Except for the gothic blonde. I don't think she was even sweaty.

I had other people to geek late period w/ which is new and fun for me.

Antonius is just as oblivious as V when it comes to women and V actually broke that mold and noticed someone noticing him. A also discovered string and was gleeful.

I did not get to visit with as many people as I would have like but got to know some locals much better.

There was more socialization under the big top this year. Game night went well.

The woods was the only battle that didn't start w/in 5 minutes of the published time and that was because of a medical hold.

The A&S display was amazing. I consider displaying but I am so not worthy and might kill people after that many hours.

It was humid but not too hot.

Ivetta will likely never go back, but I was glad she was there this year. We learned to make multi-colored knots together. We need to check to see if we can do better drunk because it can't get any worse.

The smokehouse burger apparently makes you largely immune to alcohol except for a very inopportune 5 minutes. I however did not spill cranberry juice on TRM, win!

Apparently wearing V's tunic and pants makes me invisible.

It's hard to herald in a corset and project well, esp. when you've never seen the scrolls. My friends are amazing and talented. I see a metal working project in my future. And it makes V a Commodore and me an Admiral.

We are unpacked except for laundry because they closed the laundromat in Roseville while we were gone. I hope to get all that done tonight and put away.

I love my I-Pass.

Worry more about killing people and less about quality--the knitted 'cotehardies' were displayed many times at Pennsic.

Ya coulda come visit...it's not like we were camped more than 100 yards from Northsheild, and we had Nanny and his Hrodirness over for dinner one night. And I'm pretty easy to track down during the day.

And I regret not doing it. My socail anxiety kicked in and I felt silly visiting people I don't know. Which in itself is silly because that's the only way to get to know them. Next year, I promise. I did stop by and introduce myself to Sarah and make a (small) purchase.

I bullied my way into a vigil that was peers only and them affronted them by speaking at the ceremony. A non-peer speaking was "How interesting." And ivetta had fun freaking one out.

I'm curious to see the fingerweaving hand out. If you two made that colorful knot, I am wondering if anyone understood. You two are great with fiber arts, so I just don't get it. It was kind of a bad year for classes. I can see why Ivetta was less than thrilled with her Pennsic experience. At least she was there for court though! She put a lot of effort into it, so it was nice that she got to see the final result. =)

Antonius needs a clue phone. I know of a couple people that were interested and one is an awesome person, so I hope they actually talk soon.

We had so much fun getting ready for the baronial awards. You and V deserved a nice award for doing so much and it was hillarious that they had you read them! I'll send you photos when I get them together.

Next time you have social anxiety, drag me along. You know I'll talk to anyone,lol. I agree that it was nice to get to know the locals better. I think that was the most that I have ever seen people hang out together since I've been around. Usually we all kind of stick with our own households or groups.

RE antisocialness: Part of it is really of the house group the only one I see regularly is Kay. Everyone else is some form of away either distance or in Peg's case school ate her for years so I wanted to spend time with them. And we've discussed W is not the best place for me to spend time w/ anyone. V and I are getting worse about spending time together at events, luckily we have to car rides.

She's not a big fan of camping and doesn't know a bunch of people from elsewhere so it's not worth the time for her. I'm surprised and happy she went at all.
